We have updated and revised our guide for people caring for someone with dementia. The new guide, which is now free, will help you to understand dementia and how to support someone living with it, as well as your own rights and how to look after yourself.

Bolton Older Carers Project - Bolton Older Carers Project provides support for older carers offering emergency respite in the home following a crisis, and help accessing the support you need to continue caring. If you are over 60 years old, living with the person you care for and living in Bolton you qualify to take part. Bolton Carer Support provide information and support to carers as well as providing a quarterly newsletter for carers.

Carers Cafés – Bolton Carers Support - For any carer who wants to enjoy a coffee and chat with other carers the following Carers Cafes have now been established:


Burnden Park Asda, first Tuesday of every month, 11am - 12 noon. Meet in the Customer Café at        Asda Burnden Park, Manchester Road, BL3 2QS.


Thicketford Centre, first Wednesday of every month, 2pm - 3pm. Meet in the first floor meeting room, Thicketford Centre, Thicketford Road, Tonge Moor.


Morrisons, Lea Gate, Harwood, BL2 3HN, second Monday of every month 10.30am to 11.30am. Sign in at Customer Service Desk and meet in the Community Meeting Room.


Wetherspoons (The Robert Shaw), Market Street, Westhoughton, BL5 3AN, third Monday of every month, 11am to 12pm. Meet inside.
